Welcome to Ting Lin’s Homepage! I am currently a fourth-year PhD candidate in School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University. I will graduate in 2026 Summer (Expected). I am supervised by Prof. Jun Hu.
I work on
- Numerical Analysis, mainly in the mathematical theory of finite element methods.
- A combination of Approximation theory and control theory, and its application in deep learning.
Events
- The paper ``Distributional Hessian and divdiv complexes on triangulation and cohomology’’ is accepted by SIAGA.
- I will visit Prof. Annalisa Buffa, EPFL, in Apr - May 2025.
- I will give talks in ICOSAHOM, Montreal, Canada, in July 2025, about the finite element complexes and high order elements.
I am the president of Peking University Elite Student Program for Applied Mathematics, from 2023 to 2026 (expected). This program aims to bring together top-performing students with a passion for applied mathematics, fostering an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- This program runs a weekly seminar, see here.
- Nov 4 - 6, PKU PhD forum for applied mathematics, Peking University, Beijing.
